This film is in English with Latvian subtitles. The film's production was funded by The European Parliment and Girts Valdis Kristovskis - Member of the European Parliment (UEN) and a sponsor of the making of the film will be present to answer questions after the viewing of the film. Mr. Kristovskis is a past Defense Minister of the Republic of Latvia who was instumental in Latvia being admitted into NATO. Admission to the showing is for a donation starting at $7.00 - children and students admitted free. This is a must see for students of World War II and those who have an interest in world history of that time. It tells the history as it happenened and evolved based on new documents uncovered from the archives of Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia. Many of these documents were sealed after the war and were hertofore not available to historians.
The movie is causing quite a stir in "mother" Russia as evidenced by the demonstrations that have been ordered by the Russian government to take place in front of the Latvian Embassy in Moscow. You must see it - it probably will not be shown on the History Channel - even though it should be!!
